Welcome to Your Vote Your Voice
Midterm federal elections – with members of Congress running for office in a non-presidential-election year – are often ho-hum affairs. However, that’s rarely been less so than in the fall of 2010. Major issues are facing Congress and the administration, as well as state and local governments.
A continuing economic downturn, troubling environmental challenges, impending fiscal crises in many states, possible immigration reform, and ongoing military engagement in the Middle East are just some of the most pressing of these issues as the nation approaches Election Day – Tuesday, November 2, 2010.
Your Vote, Your Voice is intended to give you – America’s campus communities – the tools and resources you need to build voter registration and turnout on Election Day, and to educate students, faculty, and staff on the issues and the candidates as we approach what is shaping up to be a watershed election.
On this site, you’ll find a wealth of timely and useful information on voter education/participation activities:
- News about college community voters and campus activities.
- Links to a wide range of resources and to other organizations involved with elections and voting.
